Cartagena de Indias, Colombia

I took three planes to get there: Montevideo-Lima / Lima-Cali / Cali-Cartagena. After a long wait at the Cali airport due to a delayed flight, I arrived in Cartagena de Indias at night, exhausted. Although it was late and the city was preparing to go to sleep, that happy and festive vibe that characterizes Caribbean towns remained in the air. As always, when I arrive at a new destination, the tiredness of the hours of flight immediately vanished. It continues to be for me one of the best sensations in the world: the first embrace of a new destination. I smiled and thanked: a new country on the list. I was embraced by the heat and humidity that remained throughout my stay. I had taken a coat, just in case, but I never needed it.

My hostel was near Getsemaní, the walled city that I fell in love with. Old stone buildings, which interact with colorful houses, balconies full of flowers, street vendors and beautiful women dressed in traditional costumes.

Day after day I returned to Getsemaní to see more photos. Crossing the grand entrance under the Clock Tower is like entering a universe steeped in history and popular traditions that makes you want to go through it again and again.

Thank you Colombia!

Life by the sea

Montevideo is a city with more than 20 km of coastline. Having grown up here, many times one naturalizes it as something that is always there. Photography makes me look around me with new eyes and I am so grateful to be in this beautiful place.

Lavalleja, Uruguay

In this photographic excursion organized by the Coven Workshop, we went together with other students to the department of Lavalleja. Uruguay is a country with a lot of green, with a lot of countryside and I love that. We visit Salto del Penitente and have lunch at Villa Serrana where we stay until sunset. We spent a spectacular day taking many photos and sharing together. Most of the time I go out to take photos I do it alone, but I know that sharing with other people is a wonderful experience and I make the most of it when I have the opportunity.
