Solar Eclipse

We left in the morning towards Colonia del Sacramento, where the eclipse would be best seen in Uruguay. I had been waiting for this event for a long time and I was very excited that it was going to be visible from this distant side of the world. From early on, the sky was already cloudy but I was hoping it would clear up later, even for a moment. We arrived starving, went for some pizzas for lunch, and walked the beautiful old streets of Colonia del Sacramento. At 4pm we went to the chosen location to photograph. There were already some colleagues with their tripods and the people of the place were approaching, despite the cold and the wind, to witness this celestial event.
But the hour was approaching and the sky was completely covered with clouds. I took other pictures to kill the wait and not return home with an empty camera.

Suddenly, when the sun and the moon were already together near the horizon, they let themselves be seen. To say that it was magical is to underestimate what that moment gave us. The sky turned completely orange, the light of eclipse reached us with all its brightness and everyone began to applaud effusively the reward that the Universe seemed to be giving us for waiting in hope. The wind was moving my tripod, which is quite firm, so I took the camera in my hand. It was only a couple of minutes before the sun and moon continued their way below the horizon, which awoke another farewell and gratitude applause.
I am so grateful to the Universe for having been able to witness this magical moment, and I will keep it in my heart forever.

My Store

I've been doing photography for some years now. I have always been attracted to nature and fine art. Some time ago I decided to open my stores in Society6 and RedBubble and sell my photography as prints and products.
It felt weird at first but as I was adding more designs I became very excited to see the results and creatively made me explore other ways of creating images, thinking how they would look in the products that I would like to have myself. I am very happy to continue creating images that I feel very close to my heart and share them with the world.
Here are some of the designs that I love the most and personally use. I hope you love them too.
Love and light,

My arms are so small to embrace your magnificence.
My heart is so humbled that you still give us everything.
If only all this love within me was enough to protect you forever.
Thank you, Mother Earth, for you still believe in us.

Cartagena de Indias, Colombia

I took three planes to get there: Montevideo-Lima / Lima-Cali / Cali-Cartagena. After a long wait at the Cali airport for a late flight, I arrived at Cartagena de Indias at night, exhausted. But even though it was late and the city was getting ready to go to sleep, that joyful and festive vibration that characterizes the Caribbean towns remained in the air. As always when I set a new destination, the tiredness of the flight hours vanished immediately. It remains for me one of the best sensations in the world: the first embrace of a new destiny. I smiled and felt the gratitude: a new country on the list. I was embraced by the heat and humidity that remained throughout my stay. I had taken a coat, just in case, but I never needed it.

My hostel was near Getsemaní, the walled city, which I fell in love with. Ancient buildings in stone, interacting with colorful houses, balconies full of flowers, street vendors and beautiful women dressed in traditional costumes.
Day after day I returned to Getsemaní for more pictures. To cross the great entrance under the Clock Tower is to enter a universe impregnated with history and popular traditions that make you want to walk again and again.

¡Gracias, Colombia!
